Where's God In All of This?

Looking for ways to connect with the divine when TV just doesn't cut it anymore

#0264sva – John Bevere: True or False?

According to his website,  John Bevere, who is reported to have worked with Benny Hinn for a number of years, “delivers uncompromising truth through his award-winning curriculums and bestselling books, now in more than 60 languages, including The Bait of Satan, Drawing Near and Driven by Eternity. He is an international speaker and co-host of The Messenger TV program broadcast worldwide”  (John co-hosts the program with his wife Lisa).  He and his family attend New Life Church in Colorado Springs, CO. pastored by Brady Boyd  who took over after Ted Haggard was dismissed.

In his book The Fear of the Lord, Bevere calls Hosea 6:1-2 a prophetic Scripture describing God’s refinement of His church in preparation for His glory. He has torn but He will heal. A day with the Lord is a thousand years (2 Peter 3:8)”.

Come, let us return to the Lord; for He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up. After two days He will revive us; and on the third day He will raise us up, that we may live in His sight.” [Hosea 6:1-2]

However even stretching one’s imagination to it’s limits does not result in any connection between these words of Hosea and “God’s refinement of His church in preparation for His glory”.

 Administrator’s Note:

I can’t stress it enough!     Please, Christians,  study  your Bible!

People will not believe this type of false teaching once they know what God’s Word really says. I know many of you reading this just love John Bevere and his wife, Lisa.  You should judge a minister and ministry on sound doctrine.  Judgment should never be about personality.

The Comments section on your article about Joyce Meyer was closed, but this is a comment to that article. In reading that particular article, I am interested in knowing what you believe. I think the Bible is clear that Jesus bore all the sins for all times when He died on the cross, and because He rose, those who believe, in essence have been resurrected too. It ssems clear from the Word that in order for anyone to reap the benefits of this act, we have to believe it. Did I misunderstand your criticism of Joyce Meyer regarding this point?

Thanks for commenting on the Joyce Meyer article. I will let my son know that you had trouble leaving a comment. We did switch formats and that may have caused the problem. Others were having trouble reading our site from WordPress because they have newer browsers. But now to clear up the point you asked me about Joyce Meryer’s teaching.
Joyce is clearly teaching false doctrine and is firmly in the Word of Faith Movement along with the other well-knowns: Kenneth Copeland, Creflo Dollar, Paul White, Benny Hinn, and the list goes on. Unfortunately, they are PROFITING in enoumous was from preaching ANOTHER JESUS AND GOSPEL. (Please refer to my other articles on Joyce Meyer and her money making ministy’s luxury living) I could site many points on her doctrine, but I will only point out one of many here. Joyce believes that Jesus paid the price for our sins in Hell and was born-again. First of all, Jesus is the Son of God and never needed to be born-again. He is very God and very Man—incarnate. Secondly, Jesus decended to Paradise (not Hell) and took captive those who died in faith before the resurrection and brough them to heaven. Now, when a believer dies, he goes up to heaven not down to paradise. Christ shed His blood on the cross to save us from our sins. He was the supreme sacrifice. We must believe and accept him as our personal Lord and Savior for salvation.
Thanks for visiting and please come back again.

      Hi Linda.

Unfortunately we’ve been getting hit with advertisers spamming the comments.
One safeguard WordPress suggests is to lock out comments on articles more than 60 days old. I’ll double-check my setting and maybe loosen the reigns on this a bit.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment

You really need to get yourself a life! Quit being like those who go around judging others ministries as a self-imposed calling,,, there is no such calling, You are worng in your criticism…. Yeshua said the wheat and the tares would grow together and at the end of the age He would judge between the 2, be carefull…. you will detroy the wheat and be accountable for that. Get yourself another accupation this one stinks, it is clear you have no discernment and not enough knowledge of the Word. See that you have oil in your own lamp! pray pray pray instead of standing on the side of and with the accuser of the breathren, he will trip you up too, in fact he is busy doing it already… so repent and work on your own heart, for your own sake!

First, I want to thank you from coming to our site and voicing your opinion. It is appreciated.

Secondly, I would like to explain that ALL Christians are called to be a Watchman on the Wall (Ezekiel 33). In addition, 1 Timothy 4:1-3 says, “Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron…” There are many other scriptures that I could quote but let it be known that Jesus said we are to “judge them by their fruits.” He repeatedly emphazied that throughout the Gospels. We are to call those that are FALSE TEACHERS BY NAME and WARN OTHERS or we will stand quilty before God for having not sounded the alarm. This website points out FALSE TEACHERS AND FALSE DOCTRINE. Along with “News That You Can USE” stories.

Yes, Judah, there is a calling on EVERY CHRISTIAN to sound the “Trumpet of Warning” when it comes to false teachers. We are living in the last days before the return of Christ and we will see the apostasy getting worse and worse.

2 Timothy 4:3-5 “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, beacuse they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.”

I am printing your comments because I know that there may be others who feel like you do also who are reading this blog. I also want to point out that I have written articles about men of God who are faithful to sound doctrine and who are faithful to the Lord and the Scriptures. Please take time to read those blogs on this site. So, not only do I point out error but I point out the positive when it is applicable.

Thanks again for stopping by our blog,
      In His Service,
